It's been a while

Have been inspired to blog again by my friend, Jacquie.

Words I have been inspired by recently:

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge.

You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself.

If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.

I have been guilty of living too much of my life according to the last 'thought' but these days am trying to live it much more according to the second one.

I went to Eden last Friday, 10th, and saw the truly marvellous Paul Weller. He is suddenly looking older although he was moving around the stage with tons of energy. I couldn't help standing there in the rain thinking I am really getting too old for gigs like this, but it was fun and felt like a throwback to days gone by. Student times, etc.

Wildwood - my absolute favourite Weller song. Always lifts the spirits.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6jCFEhMPs0&feature=channel - Can't stop listening to this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmRxrtNSQB4 - This is daughter Imogen's favourite. She wants her own Weller CD!

Meanwhile, I have discovered the truly wonderful Ella Edmonson - http://www.ellaedmondson.net/

Some helpful person (not helpful to Ella) has uploaded her entire debut album onto YouTube.

'Breathe' is a beautiful song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOwhIXH_6B0

but I think one of my favourites is Hold Your Horses http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq1N4oAfCTA&feature=related

Ella is appearing at the Chagstock Festival this weekend, 17th July.

Will it be another 9 months until the next post?
